Both Athlone Choirs are performing in the Winnipeg Music
Festival! Forms have been sent home with choir students regarding their
performance times and permission forms to take the bus.
The Intermediate Grade 3-5 Choir is performing on Wednesday,
March 1st at 10:00 a.m. Please send students to school in their
choir uniforms (white shirts, black bottoms, and black or dark coloured shoes).
Parents and family are welcome to attend this event. The cost is $4.00 at the

The Primary Grade 1-3 Choir is performing on Thursday, March
2nd at 2:00 p.m. Please send students to school in their choir
uniforms (white shirts, black bottoms, and black or dark coloured shoes). Parents

Grade 4-5 Athlone students are attending the Winnipeg
Symphony Orchestra on March 16th. Permission forms and information
will be going home with students next week. The students will also have the
opportunity to have a close encounter with a small group of WSO
instrumentalists that will be coming to our school to perform for our students on
March 13th. They will get to hear various instruments and have a
question and answer session about what it’s like to be a professional musician
in Canada. Start thinking about what questions you would like to ask those
musicians!
Due to our involvement this year with the WSO and their
children programming, they have offered our students at Athlone 50% off tickets to:
